History Alive! is returning to Hillsborough Center and Jones Road this August 21 and 22, 2021, with a full program at both sites featuring many new offerings as well as favorites selected from the last 12 years. The Jones Road reenactor field has expanded the range of military engagements which are listed on our website historyalivenh.org. And the very popular dance tent is returning to this location.
Highlights at the Historic Center include Abenaki Arts and Crafts, with music, storytelling and participatory wigwam building! The Abenaki Trail Project is one of the programs which also include lectures on early New Hampshire ecology and geology and uses of native plants. Don’t miss the vintage baseball demo, silent auction, cakewalk, expanded children’s activities and wonderful craftspeople.
We invite you to attend as a visitor or participate as a volunteer by accessing the historyalivenh.org webpage and signing up via the dropdown volunteer menu.
The Hillsborough Historical Society continues its support of this dynamic event which has also received funding from the New Hampshire Humanities, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Humanities.
Many thanks and see you there!
